How to Survive Dandy World

Today, we're diving into Dandy World, a mascot horror survival game on Roblox. The objective is to survive against enemies called the Twisted. You start by choosing a character, like Poppy or Boxton. I went with Boxton. Each character has unique abilities. For instance, Boxton can perform a mic check that highlights all Twisted for a short time.

The Game Begins

The game begins in an elevator. You're placed into a group of up to eight players. Before starting, you select a perk. Mine was a tune that gains 6% more extraction speed for every alive player in the round, maxing at 48%. The goal on each floor is to find and complete machines to extract a substance, while avoiding the Twisted.

The First Floor

The first floor introduced the basics. You must press the spacebar during a skill check when a marker is in the white zone to successfully extract from a machine. Picking up items is crucial. I found candy, oil, and health kits. The candy provides a speed boost. The Twisted are the main threat. They have red eyes, which is the primary way to identify them. If one bites you, you take damage. The floor ends when enough machines are completed, and you must reach the elevator before it leaves in 26 seconds.

Earning Tapes and the Shop

I earned 22 tapes from the first floor, the in-game currency. Between floors, you can visit a shop run by a character named Jeff. Items include health kits, speed boosts, and character licenses. Licenses for new characters are expensive, around 4,500 to 5,000 tapes. The cheapest character, Shrimpo, costs 100 tapes but has minimal stats.

Increasing Difficulty

Subsequent floors increase in difficulty. Floors have different layouts, and some are very dark, limiting visibility. The Twisted patrol the areas. Their abilities vary; some have a grappling hook tail. Your stamina, shown as a 150-point bar, depletes when sprinting and recharges when walking. Managing stamina is key, especially when being chased. Items like soda cans can restore stamina.

Teamwork and Strategy

Teamwork is important. More players mean machines can be completed faster, but you also need to watch out for each other. If a player is bitten, they can be healed with a health kit. If you fail a skill check, it might attract a Twisted. The number of floors to complete to win is unclear, adding to the challenge.

A Successful Session

In one session, I survived to floor six alone. I encountered 12 Twisted, picked up 15 items, completed 15 machines, and earned 37 tapes. Progression for unlocking characters is slow, requiring extensive playtime or Robux purchases. The game combines strategy, stealth, and resource management, making it a compelling but challenging experience.
